Bought this for fit, but... It was a long search to find the range hood fit that I needed for my application and frankly I had to settle for this model insert as a result. Considering the cost of the item I would have expected somewhat stronger construction perhaps using thicker gauge material. The lamp switch and bulb sockets seemed rather cheap and flimsy. Even the filters appeared to be very cheaply made. True, I do not know what the long term result will be for my customer, but I hope my company reputation isn't negatively affected by the lack of quality for the price my customer had to pay. Can the filters be washed in the dishwasher?

A. The Fujioh BUF-06E filters are dishwasher safe, however Fujioh technical support recomends against this method as it could damage the filter and it will almost certainly get grease in your dishwasher. They recomend using warm water and liquid Joy detergent, scrub both sides of the filter lightly, rinse and allow it to dry before putting the filter back in.

Can the aluminum filters can be washed in the dishwasher?

A. the Fujioh BUF-06E filters can be washed in the dishwasher however, it is not recomended. Fujioh recomends that the filters be washed by hand with warm water and grease-cutting soap such as Joy or Dawn.
